Man in His 50s Sexually Assaulted on Somerset Avenue
Terrifying attack on Somerset Avenue on Saturday night. Between 9.30pm and 10.15pm on 22 May, a man in his 50s was approached by two strangers. One then brutally raped him in an overgrown patch nearby.
Suspects Described
- First man: White, 20-30 years old, 6ft 1-2 tall, skinny build
- Dressed all in black – hooded top, black mask or snood, black rucksack
- Spoke with a local accent
No detailed description of the second man yet, but he also spoke with a local accent.
Police Launch Investigation, Seek Witnesses
Police urge anyone in the Exford Avenue or Somerset Avenue area between 9.30pm and 10pm on 22 May to come forward. Did you spot anything suspicious? Did you see men matching these descriptions?
“The victim is being supported by specialist officers,” said a police spokesperson. “An investigation is ongoing.”
