Jacob Barnard and Andrew Milne have been handed life sentences, with minimum terms of 36 and 34 years respectively, after a savage attack on Croxden Way in the early hours of 10 July 2018.

The horrific incident claimed the lives of Gina Ingles, 34, and her young son Milo Ingles-Bailey, aged four. Gina’s partner, Toby Jarrett, 29, escaped by climbing out a first-floor window but suffered serious injuries, including severe burns.

Guilty Verdicts After Six-Week Trial

Following a six-week trial at Brighton Crown Court, the jury found Barnard and Milne guilty of two counts of murder and one of attempted murder on Thursday 27 May. Milne was also convicted of possession of a prohibited weapon—a Taser.

Accomplice Faces Justice

John Tabakis was found guilty of perverting the course of justice. His sentencing date is yet to be set.
