Teen Stabbed to Death in Edgware Park on Bank Holiday
The Met Police have launched a murder probe after an 18-year-old was fatally stabbed in Montrose Park, Edgware, this Bank Holiday Monday.
Seven Arrested as Investigation Intensifies
Officers were called at 5:54pm on 31 May following reports of a fight among a group of males in Montrose Park. They found the teenager with a stab wound near the tennis courts.
Despite immediate first aid and treatment by London’s Air Ambulance and the London Ambulance Service, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:19pm.
Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command have stepped in. Seven men are in custody on suspicion of offences including affray and attempted murder.
Police Urge Witnesses to Step Forward
A crime scene remains in place as investigations continue. Officers ask anyone with information, images, or video to call police on 101 with reference CAD 5436/31 May.
“Police are working to inform the next of kin. Formal identification and a post-mortem will follow in due course,” said a Met Police spokesperson.
