Armed robbers on the run after failed Lloyds Bank heist in Liphook
Police launched a major manhunt after two men stormed Lloyds Bank in Liphook yesterday afternoon. The brazen duo jumped the counter at 4:10pm, demanding cash with one wielding a knife and the other firing an air gun.
Attack leaves man injured but no cash taken
During the scare, a bank staff member was shot in the face with a pellet and suffered a small stab wound. Thankfully, he has since been treated and discharged from Royal Surrey County Hospital. The robbers fled empty-handed, triggering a full police investigation.
Suspects described – police appeal for info
- One man, armed with the air gun, is described as white.
- His accomplice covered his face.
- Both are slim, between 5ft 7ins and 6ft tall.
- Both wore hooded tops during the robbery.
