High-Speed Land Rover Chase Ends in Shocking Head-On Crash
A reckless police chase ended in chaos on Thursday night when a top-spec Land Rover Discovery tore through South London, smashing head-on into a Vauxhall Corsa. The victim, a public driver, suffered a broken arm and was rushed to hospital.
Two-Hour Pursuit Turns Dangerous on Thames Road
The drama began around 8:20pm in Crayford when officers tried to stop a suspicious vehicle. The Land Rover ignored police signals and sped off, weaving dangerously – even driving the wrong way up the dual carriageway on Thames Road.
The high-speed pursuit lasted two hours before the doomed crash on Perry Street. The Collison sent a woman in her 40s and a girl to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Arrest Made, Knife and Drugs Found in Stolen-Vehicle Chase
Police arrested an 18-year-old man after pulling him from the wreckage. Inside the Land Rover, officers found stolen number plates, a large knife, a golf club, and drugs. The suspect was taken to hospital as a precaution before being locked up in custody.
“A man has been arrested for multiple offences and remains in custody,” police confirmed. The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards has been notified, as standard procedure.
Investigation Ongoing Into Shocking Chase and Crash
Police continue to sift through evidence as enquiries ramp up. The incident has rattled the local community in Crayford, sparking questions about road safety and the dangers posed by dangerous drivers on London’s streets.
