A plane plunged into the sea near Bournemouth during the Bournemouth Air Festival 2021, sparking panic among spectators.
Emergency Services Confirm Crew Are Safe
An official statement from the festival said: “There has been an incident involving one of the displays away from the display area. The crew are safe and sound and are being looked after by the emergency services.”
Flying has been suspended until further notice. Organisers promised updates later this evening.
Pilot and Wing Walker Walk Away Unscathed
Eyewitness photos near Sandbanks show the aircraft in the water. Reports confirm both the pilot and the wing walker escaped without injury.
The organisers urge the public not to contact emergency services unless they have vital information about the crash.

The Mirror can reveal that he was convicted of unlawful wounding and common assault at Maidstone Crown Court in December 2023, in relation to an attack on a woman and a man. Treeby was sentenced to 14 months in prison, suspended for two years, a court official confirmed.
