Early Morning Horror: Woman Attacked Along Poole Road
Between 4.45am and 6am on Sunday 5 September 2021, a woman in her 30s was targeted in a chilling attack in the Poole Road area, Branksome.
Stranger on a Bike Follows Victim from Bournemouth to Branksome
The victim was approached by an unknown man near The Triangle in Bournemouth. He then travelled with her along Poole Road, passing through Westbourne before the attack unfolded in Branksome.
Suspect Description and Police Appeal
- White male
- Short dark hair
- Dark hooded jacket with white symbols
- Light blue jeans
- Black shoes
- Riding a bicycle
Detective Inspector Simon Huxter of the Major Crime Investigation Team said:
“A full investigation is underway and we are supporting the victim while conducting enquiries. We urge anyone in the Poole Road area at the time who saw the incident or a man matching this description to come forward immediately.”
Dashcams and Neighbourhood Patrols: Police Step Up Search
DI Huxter added:
“Victim and suspect travelled a clear route from The Triangle through Westbourne into Branksome. We’re asking motorists, especially taxi drivers, to check dashcam footage for any clues.”
Local neighbourhood police will be patrolling the area regularly and are available to speak with concerned residents.
