Police Make Arrest Following Tragic Death
Police swooped last night to arrest a man linked to the death of a woman in Newport last month.
Woman Fell Seriously Ill on High Street
Emergency services raced to a High Street address on 22nd September after reports a woman had been taken seriously ill. She was rushed to St Mary’s Hospital but sadly died.
Murder Probe Now Underway
Although the death was initially not treated as suspicious, fresh enquiries have raised serious concerns. Hampshire Constabulary has launched a full murder investigation and is searching properties connected to the case.
Suspect Known to Victim
The man in custody is known to the deceased, police confirmed. He remains held for questioning as detectives dig deeper.
