Teenager Dies After Brutal Attack in Notting Hill
An 18-year-old from Notting Hill has died in hospital after a violent assault on Craneford Way at around 4:45pm on Tuesday, 12 October.
A murder probe is now underway. Police urgently want witnesses and anyone with information to come forward.
Investigation Underway as Family Grieves
The victim’s family has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers.
A post-mortem is set for Friday, 15 October at Kingston Mortuary.
Detective Chief Inspector Vicky Tunstall from Specialist Crime Command said: “We are still working to uncover the motive behind this tragic attack and are following several leads.
We’ve recovered CCTV and spoken to witnesses who saw a fight moments before the victim was attacked.
Many people were on the field at the time. If you haven’t spoken to police yet, please get in touch immediately.”
Police Ramp Up Patrols, No Arrests Yet
Chief Superintendent Elisabeth Chapple, overseeing policing in south-west London, added: “Our thoughts are with the young victim and his family at this awful time.
No young person should lose their life in London. We will do everything to support the investigation.”
She urged locals to expect increased police presence and to share any information that could assist the inquiry.
