Man, 60, Left Fighting for Life After Hit-and-Run in Vesta Road

A 60-year-old man was knocked down and left with life-threatening injuries in a brutal hit-and-run on Monday night.

Police rushed to the scene at 9.08pm on 1 November. The victim was rushed to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

The offending vehicle, described as a black SUV, sped off without stopping. Police fear vital witnesses could hold key information.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

Detective Constable Louise Woodgate, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We are very keen to speak to anyone who was in the Vesta Road area at the time and saw the collision or the moments leading up to it.”

“We would also ask anyone in the area to check their CCTV or dashcam footage and to get in touch as soon as possible if you find anything that may assist our enquiries.”
