Tragic Fatal Crash on M11 Claims Young Life
Police were called to a horror smash just before 1am on Saturday, 8 January, on the M11 near Junction 4. A silver Vauxhall Vectra slammed into barriers after colliding with a grey BMW 1 Series.
Passenger Killed, Others Hospitalised
A man in his 20s, a passenger in the Vectra, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed. Three other men in the same car were rushed to hospital. One remains in critical condition.
The 24-year-old Vectra driver was arrested but later discharged from hospital, along with another passenger.
Driver Charged with Multiple Offences
On Sunday, 9 January, Hugues Mike, 24, from sheffield/" title="Sheffield" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Sheffield, was charged with causing death and serious injury by dangerous driving while disqualified, plus driving without insurance. He faces court at Thames Magistrates’ on Monday, 10 January.
The BMW driver, a 22-year-old woman, was also arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving but has since been released under investigation.
Police Hunt for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
