Murder Probe Underway – Police On The Hunt

A murder investigation was launched immediately, led by Detective Chief Inspector Neil John.

“This is a busy area and someone out there must have seen the fight or even caught it on camera,” said DCI John. “The attack happened following a road altercation between the victim and a van driver at the junction of Lennox Road and Charteris Road.”

The van – a white VW Caddy panel – was found and seized in Islington on Sunday, 5 January. It’s now undergoing forensic examination. The van’s driver, wanted as the key suspect, is currently on the run. Police have not revealed their identity to avoid jeopardising the investigation.

Officers say the stabbing appears to have been a spontaneous act linked solely to the road dispute. No arrests have been made yet.
