Blaze Breaks Out in Stratford Block of Flats

Chaos this morning as eight fire engines and 40 firefighters rushed to tackle a fire in a Stratford block of flats on Warton Road.

Flat Fire Causes Damage but No Injuries

The blaze damaged part of a three-room flat on the second floor. Thankfully, two people managed to escape before the fire crews arrived. In total, around 100 residents evacuated the building safely.

Fire Under Control Within an Hour

The London Fire Brigade was called at 9:52am and had the fire under control by 10:42am. Teams from Stratford, Poplar, Leytonstone, Plaistow, and nearby stations tackled the flames.

Cause of Fire Still a Mystery

Fire investigators are now probing what sparked the blaze. No injuries have been reported so far.
