Racial Assault Sparks Police Response
At around 3.30pm on Thursday 7 April 2022, police officers rushed to Camden Road after a civil enforcement officer reported being racially abused, threatened, and physically attacked.
Suspect Detained, Hospitalised
The suspect was detained and taken to a local hospital for medical checks. While there, he allegedly hurled racist insults at the medical staff and behaved aggressively towards the accompanying officers.
Kevin Davis Faces Multiple Charges
Kevin Davis, 56, from Albert Street, Tunbridge Wells, has been charged with racially aggravated assault, assault by beating, assaulting an emergency worker, and four public order offences.
The court remanded him in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday 8 April.
