Brislington Murder Horror: One Dead, Five Arrested After Late-Night Violence
Fatal Stabbing Rocks Quiet Neighbourhood
Police were called to Bloomfield Road in Brislington at 10pm on Tuesday following reports of a violent disturbance. Officers discovered a man seriously injured on nearby Runnymead Avenue. Despite emergency first aid, he died at the scene.
Five Men Arrested, Multiple Injuries
Five men have since been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection to the incident. At least six other men suffered injuries but none are life-threatening. They remain in hospital receiving treatment.
Vehicles Involved, Forensics Underway
Police believe several people arrived at the scene in cars. One vehicle was abandoned and has now been recovered for forensic examination.
This is a shocking and violent act which happened in residential streets in Brislington,” said Ch Insp Mike Buck of Avon and Somerset Police. “We know this will be of great concern to those living in the area and we’d like to reassure the public although we’re in the early stages of an investigation, we’re currently treating this as an incident involving people known to each other. We don’t believe there is any ongoing risk to the wider public.”
