According to Lincolnshire Police, a convicted sex offender who is still on the run from an open prison may try to “charm his way” into people’s homes.
The 55-year-old sex offender is serving a life sentence for aggravated burglary.
Further investigation revealed that his previous criminal history included a number of serious sexual offences against women.
Butcher may be wearing a long-sleeved green jacket and dark blue cargo shorts, according to CCTV footage. He may also be carrying a black rucksack labelled ‘No Fear.’
He is described as a stocky white male with brown/grey hair and blue eyes. On his right arm, he has a swallow tattoo and a “Phillip-Trina” tattoo.
We are still appealing for help to find wanted man Gary Butcher, who was reported missing from North Sea Camp in Boston yesterday morning,” said Senior Investigating Officer Detective Inspector Paul Coleman. I want to reassure the public that my team and I are working with other forces and agencies around the clock to find this man. Gary Butcher is a dangerous person who has previously targeted and charmed his way into people’s homes in order to carry out his attacks. I would urge the public to be extra vigilant, to be cautious about who they open their doors to, and to alert us to any information that may aid in his capture. Please do not approach Gary Butcher if you see him.
