Man’s Car Hijacked After Brutal Assault in Carlton

Police rushed to Carlton Hill, Carlton, just before midnight on Friday (10 June) after a man’s car was reportedly stolen.

Attack Sparks Daring Escape on Foot

The victim was allegedly attacked by two men moments earlier after stopping on Francis Road, Carlton. He managed to flee the scene on foot before the robbers made off with his vehicle.

Suspects Nabbed, Car Recovered

Officers later found the stolen car and arrested two men, aged 31 and 26, on suspicion of robbery. Both were released on conditional bail as investigations continue.

“Robbery is an extremely serious offence that can have a long-lasting impact on victims, often both emotionally and physically,” said Detective Constable Hollie Fothergill of Nottinghamshire Police.

“That’s why we have two specialist robbery teams dedicated to bringing offenders to justice across Nottinghamshire.”
