Racist Outburst at Petrol Station Sparks Police Hunt

On April 17, 2022, just after 5.30pm, a man sparked trouble at a petrol station on Station Road. Staff asked him to remove suspected stolen items from his pockets. Instead of cooperating, he turned aggressive and hurled racist abuse at an employee.

Investigators have now released an image of the man they want to question. PC Katie Blowers said: “We have been completing inquiries into this incident and are now in a position to release an image of a person we wish to speak to.”

She urged anyone who recognises the man to come forward immediately.
