The family of Matej Gruber, 45, has paid a heartfelt tribute after he died in a devastating van crash on the A3054 Ningwood Hill.

Police rushed to the scene just after 1 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, following reports of a single-vehicle accident involving a van. Tragically, Matej, from Newport, succumbed to his injuries.
Heartfelt Tributes from Loved Ones
Matej’s partner, Trudy Waughman, and daughter, Jessica Gruber, expressed their grief. They described him as “an incredibly talented carpenter who specialised in shepherd’s huts.”
“He will be sorely missed by both of us, as well as all of his friends,” they said.
