Scarborough Drug Dealer Slapped with Nearly Three Years Behind Bars
Aaron James Harris, 24, from Aberdeen Walk, was locked up for two years and eight months today at York Crown Court. The Scarborough dealer pleaded guilty to offering cocaine supply back in August.
Operation Expedite Puts the Brakes on Deal-Line
Harris’s drug dealings ran from November 2021 to January 2022 before police caught on. Officers from Operation Expedite Proactive Team uncovered his scheme, which operated through two mobile phones used to offer cocaine.
Police Pin Down Harris Using Phone Data
“The successful conviction of Harris was built upon detailed analysis of call data and mobile phone downloads,” said Police Constable Jessie Landers, who led the probe.
“We proved beyond any doubt that the two phones belonged to Harris. Text broadcasts clearly showed he was offering cocaine over that two-month period.”
“This custodial sentence sends a sharp warning: we will track down drug criminals and bring them to justice.”
With this solid conviction, cops hope to dismantle more drug lines and clean up Scarborough’s streets.
