Four men in their twenties were hit by a car in a terrifying early-morning crash on Kingsley Road, close to Taunton Avenue. The smash happened at 2.43am on Sunday, 25 September.

Two Men Critical After Hit-and-Run Horror

All four pedestrians were rushed to hospital. Two remain in critical condition, fighting for their lives. The other two suffered injuries that aren’t life-threatening. The driver fled the scene without helping.

Suspect Busted at Heathrow Trying to Flee

Police launched a high-speed probe and caught a 20-year-old man just before 7pm the same day at Heathrow Airport. He was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder as he tried to board a flight out of the UK. A second man was also nabbed nearby for allegedly helping the offender.

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Thrower said: “This was a serious incident that will have shocked the local community. “Two men are in hospital fighting for their lives and our thoughts are with them and their families. “Officers have acted without delay to identify a suspect. The arrest – which happened as the man was trying to fly out of the UK – is a timely and crucial development in this ongoing investigation. “We will continue at pace as we work to establish what happened and to get justice for the victims. “I would continue to urge anyone with information to come forward.”
