Seaford Burglars Make Off with Safe in Late Evening Raid

Police are hunting witnesses after a daring home burglary in Seaford on Thursday, October 20.

Intruders Break In on Eastbourne Road

Just after 9pm, officers rushed to Eastbourne Road when a resident reported two men forced their way into his house. The burglars stole a safe packed with valuables before escaping in a silver car driven by a third accomplice.

The break-in is believed to have happened between 6pm and 7pm that evening.

Suspects Still on the Run

Despite a prompt search, police failed to track down the trio. Detective Sergeant Greg Montier said:

“An investigation has been launched into this incident, but I would like to reassure the public that it is believed to be isolated, with no wider risk of harm.”

“We would like to speak to anybody who witnessed the events of yesterday evening or suspicious activity in the area over the last few days.”
