Battery warning after Gillingham Blaze

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was sent to the scene of a fire on Firethorn Close in Gillingham. Two fire engines attended the incident, and crews arrived to a fire in the kitchen area of the property. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames, which are believed to have spread accidentally from an electric battery. No casualties were reported.
