Fire, Police, Rescue Teams Scramble to Scene
Fire crews from the London Fire Brigade arrived swiftly with two fire engines, the specialist search and rescue unit “FRU” equipped with a boat, and the rescue boat “Fire One.” Officers from the Met Police and the RNLI also joined the frantic hunt for the missing individual.
Sky Support Joins Search With Helicopter
The National Police Air Service (NPAS) dispatched a helicopter equipped with advanced FLIR thermal imaging and night vision (Nightsun) to scan the water and surrounding canal area. The aircraft’s tech is vital in the pitch dark conditions to locate anyone in the water.
