Man attacked after his car is blocked in at Rye car park
Beckley Village Hall attack shocks locals
Police are on the hunt for witnesses after a 44-year-old man was assaulted in the Beckley Village Hall car park on Woodperry Road, Rye. The victim, from Hastings, was caught up in the attack between 12.30pm and 12.45pm on November 26.
Driver blocks car, sparks violent attack
The victim returned to his car only to find it blocked by a large white transit-type van. When he asked the driver to move, things quickly turned nasty. The driver punched the man, leaving him with facial injuries severe enough to require hospital treatment.
Suspect description and police appeal
- White male, around 5’10”
- Stocky build
- Short dark hair
- Wearing a blue shirt and dark blue jeans
Police are urging anyone who saw the assault or has any information to step forward. Witnesses can contact them online or by calling 101, quoting serial 831 of 30/11.
