Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the double murder of a 15-year-old boy and a 23-year-old man in Islington, north London – UKNIP

The suspects, aged 27 and 17, were apprehended on Monday evening on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. They are currently in custody at a north London police station.

The incident occurred on Thursday night when the 15-year-old victim, identified as Leonardo Reid, was found with injuries on Elthorne Road in Islington. Police and paramedics were called to the scene following reports of a stabbing, but unfortunately, Leonardo Reid was pronounced dead shortly after midnight. The 23-year-old victim, who also suffered stab wounds, was later pronounced dead at a West London hospital.

On Saturday, a 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder but was subsequently released without further action. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the attack or has information related to the incident to come forward.

Chief Superintendent Andy Carter expressed his condolences to the families of the victims, acknowledging the unimaginable loss they have suffered. He emphasised the importance of the community’s cooperation in helping the police with their inquiries.
