Teen stabbed to death in Islington – two held over murder

Two suspects, aged 27 and 17, were arrested Monday evening on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. They remain in custody at a north London police station.

Deadly stabbing on Elthorne Road

The horrific attack happened Thursday night when 15-year-old Leonardo Reid was found injured on Elthorne Road, Islington. Emergency services rushed to the scene following reports of a stabbing. Tragically, Leonardo was pronounced dead shortly after midnight.

A 23-year-old man was also attacked and suffered stab wounds. He later died in a West London hospital.

Investigation underway amid fresh arrests

On Saturday, police arrested a 46-year-old man on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. He has since been released without charges. The investigation remains active as officers hunt for more evidence.

“Our thoughts are with the families who have suffered an unimaginable loss,” said Chief Superintendent Andy Carter. “We urge the community to help us bring justice.”
