Girl, 9, Critically Injured After Collision on Halifax Pedestrian Crossing
Police are hunting for witnesses after a nine-year-old girl was critically hurt in a crash on a Halifax street this morning.
Terrifying Crash on King Cross Street
At 11:09am, a PCSO on patrol spotted the scene on King Cross Street. The youngster was struck by a black Vauxhall Corsa while crossing near the Park Road junction. She was with an adult at the time.
The girl was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment and remains in critical condition.
Driver Arrested as Enquiries Continue
The 53-year-old driver of the Vauxhall Corsa has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. Police have set up a scene and investigations are ongoing.
Call for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Officers want anyone who saw the collision or the car’s movements beforehand to come forward. Dashcam users urged to share footage.
