The Metropolitan Police Service has named the victim while the man accused of his murder, Adejuwon Olufemi Alexander Jnr Oyekan, 30, appeared in court on Wednesday. Oyekan was charged with murder and appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court, where he was remanded in custody until his next hearing at the Old Bailey on July 17. The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday at a property in Melina Close, Hayes. Mr Thompson was found inside the house with a stab wound and despite the efforts of emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detective Inspector Adam Guttridge from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command stated that the investigation is still in its early stages, and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident. No other individuals are currently being sought in connection with the case, and the thoughts of the police are with the victim’s family during this difficult time.
