Police in Limavady are appealing for witnesses following an arson attack on a property in the Drumachose Park area on Friday afternoon, 14th July.
Detective Inspector Lavery provided details of the incident, stating that at approximately 1:40 pm, a report was received regarding a house that had been deliberately set on fire, resulting in significant damage. As a precautionary measure, several nearby houses had to be evacuated while the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service extinguished the blaze.
Shortly after the incident, the police arrested a 24-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman. Both individuals remain in police custody as the investigation progresses.
Detective Inspector Lavery urged anyone who may have witnessed the incident or possesses CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage relevant to the case to come forward.
