Murder Inquiry Launched After Man Dies in Greenock Disturbance
A murder investigation is underway following the death of a 37-year-old man in Greenock, Scotland. The tragic incident unfolded around 9.50pm on Sunday, July 30, 2023, on Angus Road, after reports of a disturbance involving three men.
Man Dies After Altercation, Suspect Arrested
Emergency services rushed all three men to hospital. Sadly, the 37-year-old was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Police have confirmed they are treating the death as a murder and have informed the victim’s next of kin.
A 46-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident. Detective Inspector Ally Semple from the Major Investigation Team offered condolences, saying, “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died at this very difficult time.”
