Chaos in Croydon: Emergency Crews Attacked with Unknown Substance
Paramedics and Police Sprayed During 999 Call
Emergency services were left shaken after a mysterious substance was sprayed inside a building in central Croydon. Police and paramedics had been responding to a 999 call on Oakfeld Road just after 2pm on Friday 5th May 2023 when the attack happened.
Suspect Tries to Break Into Property
Reports say the alleged attacker kicked the door, trying to force entry. The fumes from the sprayed substance affected both the victim and the emergency workers, though thankfully none suffered life-threatening injuries.
Woman Arrested Over Firearm and Affray
A woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of a Section 5 firearm and affray. She is currently held at a south London police station while inquiries continue.
