Shock Collision in Liverpool: Police Hunt Key Witness After Boy Injured
Merseyside Police have launched a public appeal after a young boy was hurt in a collision on Church Street, Liverpool, last Sunday, July 16. They’ve released images of a man they believe could hold vital info to crack the case.
Delivery Rider and Boy Collide Near Basnett Street
The crash happened just before 3.50pm between a delivery man on an electric bike and the boy. The kid suffered minor injuries after falling and hitting his head, and was rushed to hospital. The delivery rider briefly stopped but then rode off, leaving police hunting for witnesses.
Police Seek Help to Identify Man Seen Near Scene
Officers checked CCTV and spoke to witnesses before putting out photos of a man who may know exactly what went down. Sergeant Christine Walker said:
“While the injuries were not serious, we’re urgently trying to speak to this individual who might hold key details about the incident. If you were near Church Street and Basnett Street on that day or recognise the man, please come forward.”
She added:
“If you saw the collision or have any dashcam footage, get in touch immediately. Community help is vital to piece together what happened.”
