Massive Bike Rally Roars to Support Brave Alfie’s Cancer Battle
Today, an impressive convoy of motorbikes thundered through the county streets in a stirring show of support for young Alfie, a courageous boy fighting cancer.
Alfie’s Tough Fight Against Rare Brain Tumours
Alfie was diagnosed with optic pathway glioma back in January 2018, leaving him with a sight impairment. On top of that, he battles diencephalic syndrome—a serious brain tumour condition. Despite these tough challenges, Alfie’s spirit and determination remain unbroken.
42 Miles of Support Ends With Big Fundraising Event
The motorcade covered a 42-mile route, finishing near the Windsor Tavern. But the event didn’t stop there. A head-shaving fundraiser kicked off at the tavern to raise cash for Alfie and the Children with Cancer Fund (CWCF).
Helping Local Families Since 1998
Founded in 1998 by Ursula & Chris Downton alongside Kirsty & James Denny, CWCF has been hard at work supporting families across East Sussex, Brighton & Hove dealing with childhood cancer. The charity continues to raise funds and grant wishes, backed by a close-knit team of friends and family.
