Close Contest Ends in Victory for Indelible Ink
The tough online battle wrapped up just before Small Business Saturday. Indelible Ink edged out competitors including A Slice of Vinyl in Stoke Road, P&J’s Food in Elson, and Alverstoke Village Hardware, who finished as runners-up.
Thousands Voted for Their Favourite Local Shops
The competition kicked off mid-November when Caroline asked locals to nominate their favourite independent traders via her website. Over 1,000 nominations flooded in for more than 100 businesses. The top 10 nominees then faced a public vote, with more than 2,500 people casting their ballots.
Celebrating Local Enterprise and Community Spirit
Caroline Dinenage said:
“What a delight to visit Gez and the team at Indelible Ink today to present them with their award. The competition was hotter than ever this year, with over 2,500 constituents taking part in the vote. The quality of nominees shows the incredible spirit of enterprise in our area.
Small businesses are the lifeblood of our community, and local people really value their service. This is a fantastic chance to celebrate those who make a difference.”
Owner Gez Bradley added:
“This means the world to me and everyone at Indelible Ink — a huge thank you to everyone who voted and all our loyal customers. Keep an eye out… there’s lots more exciting stuff planned for 2023!”
