Teen Girl Victim of Sexual Assault in Wistaston
Detectives are hunting for a man after a serious sexual assault was reported on Oak Tree Walk, Wistaston, on Monday 16 January. The attack happened between 2.40pm and 3pm, targeting a 15-year-old girl.
Suspect Description Released
The suspect is a slim man in his late twenties with brownish-red hair and a distinctive scar under his eye. He has stretcher piercings in both ears and wore frameless glasses, dark blue jeans, a burgundy jumper, and a mustard Trespass jacket at the time.
Police Urge Locals to Come Forward
Detective Inspector Victoria Shelton said: “We understand this will cause concern in the local community. We are doing everything we can to establish the circumstances of what occurred. Residents will see officers in the area over the coming days, and I encourage anyone with concerns to speak with us.”
Police are reviewing CCTV footage and want to hear from anyone who was around Oak Tree Walk during the incident and noticed anything unusual. They especially want to speak with a dog walker who may have seen suspicious activity.
