Officers were called to Castle Gate in Nottingham city centre after reports that a man approached a woman walking home at around 12.20am on January 12, 2023.
Before the woman pushed him away, he exposed himself.
Assem Elmaghraby, 22, of Maid Marion Way, Nottingham, has been charged with exposure and is scheduled to appear in Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on February 2, 2023.
I am pleased we have charged a suspect because this was an extremely upsetting incident for the victim,” said Detective Sergeant Lisa Jones of Nottinghamshire Police. Officers are still there for her.
Nottinghamshire Police treats all offences of this nature extremely seriously. We arrested a suspect in this case within 48 hours of the incident being reported.”
