Predator Marshall Taylor Jailed for Eight Years Over Horrific Child Sex Crimes

Marshall Taylor, formerly Mark Benjamin, was locked up for eight years today at Swindon Crown Court. The 56-year-old was found guilty of multiple disgusting sexual offences against children.

Name Change Couldn’t Hide His Crimes

Taylor, who lived in Pine Close, Rudloe, Corsham during the offences, later changed his name by deed poll after his arrest. Police raided his home on May 20 last year, seizing several electronic devices.

  • More than 1,500 indecent images were uncovered, including Category A extreme material.
  • Two videos of child abuse were found, with Taylor pleading guilty to them and two counts of sexual touching.
  • He also admitted making a third abusive video and possessing a vast cache of horrific images.

Victims Speak Out, Justice Served

Officers identified the boys in the videos, now adults. One victim bravely supported the investigation, giving vital evidence. On December 15, 2022, a jury convicted Taylor of causing a child to watch and engage in sexual acts.

Despite being on bail, Taylor continued viewing extreme images.

Long Sentence and Lifetime Ban

Taylor was sentenced today for ten charges, receiving eight years behind bars. He’s also slapped with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order until 2038.

“I am very happy with the guilty verdict and hope that this brings closure to the victims,” said DC Simon Rogers, leading the case.

“Taylor is an extremely dangerous individual and poses a serious risk to the public. I applaud the custodial sentence.”

“He groomed these boys, convincing them his behaviour was normal. I commend their bravery.”

“I encourage all victims of sexual violence to come forward and speak to the police.”
