Man Charged with Rape After Rise Park Alley Attack
A terrifying attack rocked Rise Park on the evening of Sunday, 29 January 2023. Around 8 p.m., a woman was assaulted in a narrow alley between Park Vale Academy and Rise Park Primary School.
Suspect Nabbed in Top Valley
Fast police work paid off. On Tuesday night (31 January), officers arrested Shane Nash, 39, from Boniface Gardens in Bestwood, near Nottingham. He’s now been charged with rape.
Nash Remanded and Due in Court
The accused has been remanded in custody. He is set to appear today at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
“The victim and her family have been informed and continue to receive support from specially-trained officers,” said Detective Inspector Craig Hall of Nottinghamshire Police. “Although we have charged a suspect, our investigation continues. We urge anyone with information to come forward now.”
