Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a fire at a block of flats in Fosters Avenue, Broadstairs

Seven fire engines and a height vehicle were sent to the scene, where crews extinguished the flames using hose reel jets and main jets. 

No injuries were reported. 

KFRS’ volunteer response team also attended and provided support to affected residents. 

It’s believed the fire started in the garden and spread to the roof space of the property. The cause is not yet known.
