Blaze Tears Through Vehicle Workshop – One Treated for Smoke Inhalation!
Fire Razes Workshop and Hits Second Building
A raging fire destroyed a single-storey vehicle workshop and left parts of a neighbouring workshop damaged. One man managed to escape before firefighters arrived and was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation by the Ambulance Service.
Firefighters Race to Control Blaze
The Brigade was called out at 5:42pm, with crews from Romford, Harold Hill, Hainault, Dagenham, and nearby stations battling the inferno. The fire was brought under control by 8:15pm.
Explosion Risk Promptly Managed
Concerned about potential explosions, firefighters swiftly removed and cooled a gas cylinder from the site. Cylinders can explode when exposed to intense heat, so the precaution was critical.
Accidental Cause Under Investigation
Early reports suggest the fire started accidentally, though an official investigation is ongoing.
