Man Hospitalised After Brutal Brawl Outside Worksop Shop
A violent fight erupted outside a store on Gateford Road, Worksop, in the early hours of Saturday, February 25. Police rushed to the scene just after 2.30am and found a man in his 30s collapsed on the floor.
The victim quickly lost consciousness and was rushed to hospital, where medics discovered he suffered a fractured skull.
Police Hunt Witnesses and Suspects
Nottinghamshire Police are now appealing for anyone who saw the brawl or knows those involved to come forward. PC Chris Putland said:
“This was a nasty assault which left the victim in hospital needing urgent care. He has since been discharged and is recovering, but we are determined to find those responsible.”
“We are reviewing extensive CCTV footage and our neighbourhood officers are patrolling Worksop town centre regularly. If you were in the area on Saturday night, please get in touch.”
“Such violent behaviour is totally unacceptable, whether it happens in the middle of a busy night or during the day. We will not tolerate it.”
