East Hants Goes Green with Powerhouse Climate Event
Last Wednesday (15 March), East Hants pulled together local leaders and activists for the ‘Get East Hants Green’ event at Liss Pavilion. Part of a bold 10-point plan to tackle climate change, this meet-up was all about sparking action and sharing ideas.
Climate Champions Unite
Big names like Hampshire County Council (HCC), East Hampshire District Council (EHDC), Petersfield Town Council (PTC), and the Alton Climate Action Network (ACAN) took to the stage.
The topics? A full sweep of green issues:
- Home and business energy efficiency
- Nature conservation
- Transport solutions
- Community energy projects
- Recycling initiatives
- Engagement and partnerships
The goal? To shape a strong, collaborative climate action programme for the future. The conversations sparked will keep rolling as groups and councils join forces.
