Police swooped on a home in Fulbourn Road, Cambridge, last September, catching 23-year-old Courtnie Jevans red-handed with drug users. Officers found three mobile phones, one directly tied to dealing class A drugs.
London to Cambridge Drug Pipeline Exposed
Further investigations revealed Jevans had been shuttling between London and Cambridge from July to September, running a county lines drug operation. The drugs were ferried regularly into Cambridge for sale.
Jevans Sentenced to 2.5 Years at Huntingdon Crown Court
On Friday 17 March, Jevans, from Sunnybank, Newton Abbot, Devon, was locked up for two years and six months after pleading guilty to two counts of being involved in class A drug supply.
Operation Hypernova Strikes Hard on Cambridgeshire Drug Gangs
- Jevans was among 44 arrested across Cambridgeshire in September and October during Operation Hypernova.
- The police crackdown smashed 33 county lines, seized class A and B drugs worth over £600,000, along with cash, assets, and weapons.
Detective Constable Tom Corbett said: “Jevans was operating a fairly sophisticated county line, bringing drugs from London to sell in Cambridge on a regular basis.” “We want to make it clear: dealers travelling to Cambridge are not welcome and will be targeted relentlessly by police.”
