Met Police Celebrate Heroes Battling Violent Offenders
Commander Kevin Southworth, the Met’s lead for public protection, teamed up with Assistant Commissioner Louisa Rolfe to honour officers and staff who are smashing it tackling high-harm offenders and backing victims. The big event went down at New Scotland Yard on Thursday, 23 March.
Everyday Heroes Taking Down Monsters
Southworth said: “The examples here are just a snapshot of the relentless work across the Met. Our officers and staff provide tenacious, professional service — bringing predators to justice and showing exemplary care to victims of the worst crimes.”
He added: “Most of the offences we deal with are linked to serious concerns about violence against women and girls. The outstanding work showcased here gives me hope that we’re rebuilding trust and confidence in our communities.”
