Police rushed to Magdalen Street shortly after 11pm following reports of a disturbance. On arrival, officers found a man with a stab wound to his stomach.
The victim was rushed to hospital and remains in a serious condition.
18-Year-Old Arrested Over Suspected Attempted Murder
An 18-year-old man from Panfield has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, possession of an offensive weapon, and criminal damage. He is currently in police custody.
Officers believe the attack was targeted. Extra high-visibility patrols have been deployed to reassure the community.
