Chaos at Flint Town United Match: Game Abandoned After Fan Violence
Tempers boiled over at the JD Cymru Premier clash between Flint Town United and Caernarfon Town at Flint’s Essity Stadium on Saturday evening. Just after 5.30pm, police rushed to the scene following reports of disorder among fans.
Man Seriously Injured, Rushed to Hospital
During the chaos, a man suffered serious injuries and was immediately taken to Aintree Hospital. The severity of the incident forced officials to abandon the match.
Heavy Police Presence and Dispersal Order Enforced
- North Wales Police, supported by British Transport Police, remain active at the stadium and Flint Train Station to curb any further disturbances.
- A 24-hour dispersal order has been imposed in Flint, effective until 6.30pm Sunday, April 9th.
- The order enables officers to break up groups and ban their return under the Anti-Social Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014.
- Refusing to comply with the order risks arrest.
