Teen hurt as black Audi hits bike on zebra crossing!
Police rushed to the junction of Manor Avenue and Ruskin Drive at 8.30pm on Wednesday, 5 April, after reports of a crash between a black Audi A3 and a 13-year-old cyclist.
Boy Hospitalised But Released
Emergency services treated the youngster for a head injury. Thankfully, he was later discharged and is expected to make a full recovery.
Driver Arrested Over Suspected Drug Driving
A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drug-driving at the scene. He has now been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
“A boy attended hospital as a result of this collision and we wish him all the best for a full recovery,” said PC Matt Leigh of GMP’s Road Policing Unit.
“If anyone witnessed this collision or has any dashcam footage please get in touch with police as soon as possible.”
