Man Stabbed in Sneinton – Suspect Arrested

Police rushed to Dale Street, Sneinton, just before 10.50am on Sunday after reports of a stabbing. A man in his 40s was found injured and taken to hospital. Thankfully, his wounds are not believed to be life-threatening.

Suspect Charged and Remanded

Officers quickly arrested 20-year-old Joseph Easom-Cooper from Dale Street following a thorough investigation. He now faces multiple charges including grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of a blade in public, and cannabis possession.

Easom-Cooper has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 11 April 2023.

Police Say No Wider Threat

Detective Sergeant Andy Buxton said: “Thanks to the work of detectives and officers investigating this incident, we have now charged a man.”

“The victim remains in hospital with injuries not thought to be life-altering. We believe this was a self-contained incident and want to reassure the public there is no wider risk.”

“I am pleased we have charged a suspect as we continue to progress our investigation.”
