Man Pleads Guilty to Manslaughter of Jack Jermy-Doyle in Preston

A Blackpool man has admitted manslaughter over the death of Jack Jermy-Doyle in a shocking Preston attack last year. Jak Fairclough, 29, appeared at Preston Crown Court today and pleaded guilty. Meanwhile, a second suspect, 22-year-old Jake Parkinson from Bow Lane, denied manslaughter charges and will face trial next March.

Fatal Attack on Preston Street

The tragic incident unfolded on August 12, 2022, at the junction of Harris Street and Birley Street in Preston. The 25-year-old victim, Jack Jermy-Doyle, got into a confrontation with two men before being seriously assaulted. Emergency services rushed to the scene, and Jack was taken to hospital. Despite doctors’ efforts, he died two days later from his injuries.

Legal Proceedings and Family Support
